Bonny's Decorated Coconut Brownies

"A very tender recipe and very simple. I made this up myself and gave it a little decoration--you may use toothpicks, honey, and nuts. The recipe is doubled because I had made half the quantity and that wasn't sufficient so I doubled it after which I made sufficient."

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • four eggs
  • 1 cup all-reason flour
  • 2/three cup cocoa powder
  • half of teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Design Ingredients:
  • 3 toothpicks, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon honey, or to taste (non-compulsory)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, or to taste (non-compulsory)
  • 1 teaspoon floor cinnamon, or to taste (optional)

Instructions :

Prep : 15M Cook : 16M Ready in : 1H5M
  • Preheat oven to 350 stages F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Beat sugar and butter collectively in a bowl; mix in eggs till mixed.
  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl; stir into egg mixture. Mix in vanilla extract. Stir in coconut and four teaspoons cinnamon. Spread batter frivolously into prepared pan with a spatula.
  • Bake in preheated oven till a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out easy, approximately 30 minutes. Cool in the pan, about 20 mins; cut into squares.
  • Place toothpicks, honey, walnuts, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon onto waxed paper. Dip a toothpick into honey; draw preferred design onto the cakes with honey-dipped toothpick. Sprinkle with walnuts and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

Notes :

  • Peanut butter or melted chocolate may be substituted for the honey if desired. Any form of nuts may be substituted for the walnuts.
